DENVER ART MUSEUM

The administrative building allows for efficient management of the museum's extensive art collections, educational programs, and special exhibitions while remaining somewhat separate from the public-facing galleries, creating a dedicated environment where the behind-the-scenes work of running a major art museum can take place.

The Fibonacci sequence, a mathematical pattern commonly found in nature and art, inspires and defines the proportions and multi-colored windowpanes in this vibrant and light-filled work environment for museum staff. Open areas with high bay windows surround a core of offices and meeting rooms.  Moveable partitions located in the center of the building create collaborative meeting spaces of flexible sizes to accommodate the needs of curators, artisans, and administrators as they work together.
